' ' ' ' ' Good Morning Onelia! (Tankas)

Rating: 2.7

Day takes off her dress
hangs it on an horizon.
Naked now as night
her rich black skin glittering
with many stuck on stars...stars.

*******

Storm knocks on the door.
No one there except a moon.
Too fat to get in!
Stars sitting in window panes
wonder where...all humans are?

*******

Video slows to
slow...mo...as I move through t i m e
watching myself take all
the time in the world just to
get from one second...to...the next.

*******

Giant of a man
squeezed into little teashop
as if a mountain
had come to have cream tea.
Sips cup...extends his pinkie.

*******

Losing the head...hair!
Bald as billiard ball now.
Growing more hair on
his chin for compensation.
His head...looks upside...down now!

*******

Vines escapes concrete
does a runner up the wall.
Meets Death at child’s hand.
All that effort ripped away
idly in a child’s play.

*******

Gravestone so old gray
gives birth to the exquisite
tiny strawberries
running riot with a life
of their own...laughing at Death.

*******

SALAD DAYS

I gaze at flowers
as horses graze on flowers.
Both loving flowers
each in our separate ways.
I nibbling a nasturtium.
Horse looking at a thistle.

*******

Scarecrow set alight
becoming a WICKERMAN.
Moon saying nothing.
An owl doesn’t give a hoot.
Scarecrow smiling to the end.

*******
ONE LITTLE JAPANESE WORD

Down on my knees I
whisper: “Fuwa! ” & “Fuwa! ”
Keep on keeping on
even though I can’t go on.
I smile: “Indestructible! ”

Good morning...Day takes off her dress hangs it on an horizon... what of a wonderful beginning of a poem. I am lucky one to have such a poem for me. :) I feel like an actress chosen by the director to play the main character in a low budget production for connoisseurs in small auditorium :) 'Moon saying nothing. An owl doesn’t give a hoot. Scarecrow smiling to the end.'
