Good To Be Alone Poem by Randy McClave

I once read in a letter
That your life will get so much better,
When you realize that it's better to be alone
Especially when by uncaring people you are known.
It's better not to be chased about
By people who want to use you without a doubt,
It's better when they aren't found
And to you in their need they just wanna be bound.
I once had many, many friends
My wallet they would always seemingly cleanse,
They always wanted to be at my side
Especially for money or for food or even for a ride.
When I was in need or ever broke
Not one word by them with compassion was ever spoke,
They all suddenly just disappeared
And when I was not in need, they once again appeared.
Sadly many people wanna use others and to scam
In Corinthians Paul wrote it's good to stay unmarried as I am,
Singleness is preferred because of distress
I agree with that letter., I wholeheartedly do confess.
In our life we all want to peacefully and joyfully live
And happily we all want to help and also to give,
Life gets better and worries disappear which is true
But, only when you leave people who don't care a bit about you.
