I'll take the highroad cause the valley here is full of pain
I like the mountain view looking from the top I can proclaim
The savages that chased me I left them with a smile
They mocked my steps the journey I turned my back on their denial

What's a curse if you never learn to embrace your fate
To taste the pain and choke on shame
To embrace the ways to relate

I've seen the storm that's rolling in on waves you can't escape
The first drop you ignore is the last drop where you brace
This static tension is for me nothing but relief

But for others now this fairytale is a forced belief
I wave my hands and you see me wish you well
But that coin in the wishing well, well now you know
