Goodbye Poem by Bridget Gabrielle

Goodbye

Rating: 4.5

Where are you? There's a wall preventing me from reaching you.
Where are you? It's like you disappeared into a world of emptiness.
Where are you? I want to be apart of your world, but you're no where to be found.

None of this was supposed to happen
Oh how I wish I can forget your memories and erase laying eyes on you in the moonlight.

Let's part ways and leave whatever this is in the past.
The journey has ended so fast.
Goodbye, for you have put me last.

The final thing I need to ask: Do I every come across your mind?

Do I ever come across your mind? Even after bitter pain and disappointment, our souls still long to be valued. Even if you reject me, am I not of some significance? Honest and raw, poignantly rendered. You have talent in transforming your heart to your words. We will look forward to more of your work, good poet.

Heartbreakingly beautiful Bridget especially the line the question where are you it's like a cry from the depths of the heart. Also the sadness in the lines Goodbye for you have put me last but even so you are still wondering do I ever come across your mind? I had a similar experience a couple of years ago. You capture the whole senario so concisely. Loved it, full marks Bridget
