Gossip And Judgements To Pass Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Gossip And Judgements To Pass

No one deserves disrespect.
The showing to express respect,
Without hesitation.
Should not only be reserved,
For those who sit in high places.
With names to impress.
As if deities to address.

No one deserves expressed disrespect.
Regardless of who they are.
Where they live, drive or dress.
How they speak or texture of hair.
And yet,
Incredible as it may be.
There are those who choose to perceive,
They can say and do to whomever they please.
Wherever and when done to demean comfortably.
With a familiarity.
Done to those they think they know.
But have not a clue,
How far their disrespecting goes.
Or who it is they think they know does.
To destroy what it was,
Kept in their minds to undermine themselves.
But,
Continue people like this do.
To quickly rely upon gossip.
And judgements to pass.
With their opinions to give.
Without evidence of facts.
