Gowth: The Death Of Friendship Poem by Alissa Greene

Gowth: The Death Of Friendship

looking back i could always depend on my friends...kept 'em few so that was never a problem....i mean we were so close not even my problems were problems.......

see we built this thing, this... sisterhood; only it's closer than that cuz we picked one another...knit this bond so tight that we believed not people, not time, not places, not things, (& in our frail minds) not even god in heaven could break ..this sisterhood that we built, this bond we created, that some refer to as friendship...only it ran deeper...deeper than the longest river on the largest continent on this planet earth

This friendship, in our minds, was so stong, so safe, so secure that no one or nothing could break it...until we were introduced to this thing called GROWTH...

so now we're at this place where we're changing...moving to be all that we are supposed 2 be for the future and that road is bumpy...[[too bad we dont have a chitty chitty bang bang magic car to fly us over our troubles]]...it is said that true friendship never dies so where is such truth under so many lies...where is it amongst the bad, the ugly and the hideous...and im diligently seeking it out....searching 4 that key that unlocks the door 2 our past so we can remember

Growth......a six letter word could be the downfall to a union that is like a brick wall reliance that i not only holds me up but keeps me moving....growth: : has got me driving down memory lane just to smile again....growth: : this thing that's supposed to make me the women i will be tomorrow, is the destruction of the me i should be today..
