Graduation now has come
Tears my eyes now fill
Straight I face but back I look
In how my past had been
Young I was, fresh and blind
That I walked in my room
Anxious, excited, preparing my mind
Checking myself, neat and groom
A sea of faces, black and dark
For weeks I was alone
But time has helped my life to spark
With music: chord and tone
The yearglass turned, now full when I
Was slowly growing up
In mind and soul, in strength and heart
Freedom fills my cup
I now have friends, a band of friends
That I have known some years
We strived for school, passed means and ends
We each the other's seer
My life was added with new names
And all we count as one
United, together, grief or fame
With smiles we all had fun
The end has come, with grateful hearts
With grins and hidden tears..
The teachers' love, our classmates' hands
Our hearts forever tied
