Grand Finale (Phantasmagoria Pt.1) Poem by Julian Carlos Co

Grand Finale (Phantasmagoria Pt.1)

From the second we are born
We witnessed the way of life
To the minute we tipped off
We learned how to stand
Until the hour of our deaths
We learned temporary lessons and grasped
Eternal wisdom.

The father of the son with the holy spirit.
We practiced every role we played,
Hurt and killed others
Sacrificed and preyed by others
Until such moment we felt jolt
We realize that we're merely a pawn
So we bolted every chains that binded us

One day the wise talked with the fool,
On a bench the fool sat,
And the wise stood.
The fool asked why did he not sit
The wise replied "Because there is no show to see".

The fool now realizes the thought but only the bare crust.
The fool stood and now the wise sat
The fool then once again asked "why did you sat? "
The wise replied "because the blinders are now removed".

The fool got angry and crescendoed his voice.
"Are you mocking me? "
The wise stood and left a written paper,
The fool asked where he's going but the wise is deaf
The fool read paper,
"Because the show has ended".

Years after, the fool became wise
And the wise became fool.
The once fool but now wise invited the now fool and once wise to talk.

After all their chitchat,
When the fool was about to leave
The wise said
"We now both saw the show and each other's grand finale."
The fool replied
"You and I are kindred spirits, never contented,
Always itching to play new roles".
