Grand Sur. (Translation) .

Des grandes collines solitaires.
Des grandes montagnes.
Des pierres d'amorce puissantes de la chanson.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Big Sur is a wild, hilly region in the North-West of California, by the Pacific Ocean. There is a highway going through Big Sur, on the Los Angeles- San Francisco road. Some poets and philosophers have lived in Big Sur, and found it a fertile place for ideas and inspiration. Robinson Jeffers lived in Carmel, Big Sur, where he wrote most of his poems, among the ' Mighty touchstones of song'.
