Grans Poem by Della Perry

Grans

Myriad of features remain still
Framing memories of lives
Copious traits were altered
Hues were brightened
Contemporary fittings squeezed between antiquities
Mixtures of old and new
Reflecting a new era
With shadows of the past.
Gran would be proud
Her pride and joy; glass fronted cabinet
Stands still
Frozen in time
China cups and saucers
Still reside on the bottom shelf
Just as she left it before she died.
