Grateful Daughter - Poem by rio monica canlas
You wake up early, every morning
To assist us in everything;
To touch us with your caring hand
And kiss us before you see us gone.
Your support is endless
Oh, why should I love you less?
If for me, you are the best
Mother, I want you to know, I am so blessed.
The food you cook
The dessert you serve
The chat we make
Dinner with you will always be great!
When I feel bad,
You stroke your fingers on my head
You are better than Paracetamol
To my weak, wan and poor soul.
You never question my decision
Instead, you push me and help me to go on.
Mother, don’t give up on us
And I thank you so much for the trust!
I miss being with you
I miss hugging you
I miss kissing you
But I won’t miss loving you, ‘coz I am & will always do.
