Great Empires Are Not: On Slavery Injustice Built Poem by Terence George Craddock

Great Empires Are Not: On Slavery Injustice Built

break centuries
millennia of pain
inflicted agony
echoing back
to first slave civilization
how can a civilization
be esteemed honoured
held in awe revered

when mortar build on
weeping slave blood crushed bones
horrific scares bestial cruelty
entrenched demonic torture chains
civilization is justice freedom equality
not hate rage revenge exploitation wars
