Great Once Again? Poem by Randy McClave

Great Once Again?

Let's give tax breaks to the wealthy
Then around our country let's then build a wall,
Let's support bigotry, racism and adultery
Let's not care for truth, or for righteousness at all.

Let's pretend that we read and respect the Bible
And that we adhere to the words of the scribes,
Let us then be bullies and also traitors
Then let us receive and give payouts, and also bribes.

Let's change the look and path of our country
To reflect greed, gluttony and injustice and sin,
We can then hoist our flag as a hatred to all;
Is that how we'll make America, great once again?
