Green Oasis Poem by Emile Pinet

Green Oasis

I overhear feisty breezes
whispering words of gibberish
amidst the sound of rustling leaves.

Setting the treetops aflutter
they garner secrets from the wind,
decoding subtle sighs and heaves.

Like an enchanted fairyland
complete with ethereal sprites,
it's an extraordinary park.

Rays of sunlight freckle the ground
as they sidle shifting shadows,
while playing tag with leaf and bark.

When strolling through this oasis
my anxieties disappear,
and I always leave with a smile.

For the laughter of the children
rollicking amongst nature's trees,
makes the mosquito bites worthwhile.

You have captured the beauty of park or green oasis superbly in your poem. I get lost in those superbly penned lines. I slip into the peace they exude. Thank you for sharing
