Interesting concept of ego, it is a glaring one when young and immature, yet when older and wiser, we manage to remove much of it's life, it's called maturity. We replace our egos with a conscience and compassion that's far-reaching and mellow in our old age. No longer needing to be seen, praised and looked upon. Very thought provoking poem.
