Guilty Conscious Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

It proves to be theatrical
If I say “I want to be human”
I pray also to help me and strengthen
But how come it happens all of sudden?

Is it not hollow?
That I blindly follow
Some people’s life line
Which has made me to feel fine?

They appear on front page
Their contribution is highlighted for many days
But people silently whisper!
There is nothing special to remember

I find deep frustration
Over development and raise question!
Why such dubious distinction about known persons?
I fail to understand but make no search with reasons

It is guilty conscious
I must follow my own course
Search the inner soul and ask
What can be my next task?

I am sure I will have an answer
As it will provide calm after rainy shower
Whole of body finds some relaxation
Same is the case with mental satisfaction
