Guilty Conscience - Poem by Hasmukh Amathalal

Guilty conscience

Stream roller moved
All uneven face leveled
T was pressed so hard
To make it look real road

The traffic was to pass
It was to be of super class
No let up was allowed
The strict rules were followed

But in reality
No good quality
Material was of inferiority metal
How could it sand well?

We are used to for adoption
For corruption
For blind acceptance
And it's unreal clearance

Nothing shall change
With passage
But greed shall remain
For landing all of us in mental pain

We shall live
And believe
In non interference
Even with guilty conscience
