Hailstorms Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Hailstorms

Hailstorms

City is raining hell
No citizens feel well
It is terrible heat
As if the sky is sending fire to hit

How many cases heat's stroke?
How much nature ahs in its stock?
We can know the plight of poor workers
We see them work in open as bread earner

Since two days the nature has turned green eyes
Hitting of an earth with lightening and hail storms
Little showers with coolness
"Respite" everyone feels

It may take up the temperature
It will be real torture
For living people here
There exists sign of epidemics with fear

It is increasing everyday
Nature has its role to play
If summer is lenient
There shall be deficit in rainfall

Ahmedabad* may still become hot
We have indication so sought
Some relieving measures
People stop venturing out in day times

Hailstorms
