our realities
speak to us
clearly

they tell us
to tell them but
we refuse

i tell myself
i have respect for you
calm down
we must talk about this

i warn myself
about some consequences
someone says
tell it
someone says
don't
someone says
meet halfway

to live
one must live halfway
between
the layers

up there it is too hot
it can melt
your candle wings
down here
it is too cold
you will freeze

halfway yes halfway
you are human
you bleed and you heal.
