Halloween Night Excitement Poem by Marilyn Lott

Halloween Night Excitement

The night was really quite scary
The clouds had formed, you see
Pitch black it seemed so early
At least it appeared so to me.

A chill filled the foggy air
Fog arose here and there
If it hadn't been Halloween
Perhaps I wouldn't care.

But it was, and down the road
The cemetery was the same
But now it did not seem so
Was Halloween to blame?

I worried for the children though
Out by themselves I saw some
Holding hands in their costumes
The cold made little hands numb.

But of course, it is a holiday
Children and adults alike
Look forward all year long
For the exciting Halloween night!
