Ham And Eggs And Life Poem by Raymond Farrell

Ham And Eggs And Life

How we approach
Matters of life
In which we choose
To participate
Is much like
A breakfast
Of ham and eggs
You say
You'd like to get involved
Well so was the chicken
It got involved
By laying the egg
But if you say
You are committed
To the cause
Then you are
Like the pig
He was committed
When it came
To the ham
On the plate
But hopefully
Unlike the poor pig
Your commitment
Will be voluntary.
