Hand In Hand (Cavatina) Poem by Gert Strydom

Hand In Hand (Cavatina)

Hand in hand we walked through the city;
the market-place
had small stalls that sold almost anything.
On your sweet face,
the joy of living of sheer happiness
had some great grace
but today only emptiness do remain
and your untimely leaving brought great pain.
