Happiness Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Happiness

Happiness is not a destination,
not a place to arrive and stay forever.
It is the warmth of the sun on your face,
the laughter that rises without reason,
the quiet knowing that this moment is enough.

Sorrow walks beside it, a shadow in the light.
It whispers of loss, of change,
of things we cannot keep.
But even sorrow has its beauty-
the way It softens us, deepens us,
teaches us to cherish what is fleeting.

To be happy is to welcome both,
to stand in the sun without fearing the rain.
To let joy fill you completely,
and when sorrow comes, to let it sit beside you
without turning away.

Nothing stays, and that is the gift.
The waves rise, the waves fall,
and still, the ocean remains.
