Happiness cannot be created nor destroyed but it can be altered. There are different levels of happiness; extreme happiness when we achieve something that we wanted to gain; accomplishment, or unhappiness when we cannot achieve something that we wanted to gain; disappointment. The goals that we set will prove to either be an accomplishment or a disappointment in our lives and how we act accordingly will affect our level of happiness.
Accomplishment can be the result of ones' own success, the successfulness of having completed a task because the usage of time was used appropriately as well as the perseverance that was needed to keep going. The passage of time is needed and used in order to be able to attain goals that we may have set. With the passage of time, perseverance is closely related, as it links together the ability to take the time needed in order to do something, and the ability to keep trying and to never give up.
When one gives up, they are thus greeted with the coldness of disappointment. Disappointment not necessarily because we couldn't do something, but rather because we didn't put the effort or the time needed in order to achieve those goals. Disappointment can be taken in two completely separate ways: a starting point for continuous failure or the turning point for re-acquiring success.
Disappointment can be with what's more than just the starting point of a miserable life ahead, or the turning point in ones' life that is yet to come. The development of misery in ones' life has been proven to be more destructive and causes even more pain and suffering than intended. It also increases the person's chance of staying in that misery, if such a person is not taken out of ones' own rut they will continue to be burdened with disappointment! The easing of ones' pain can be lessened with the aid of social networking; in which people are encouraged to communicate freely without that feel of needing to fend for oneself, to talk without any sort of limits which in turn would create more harmonious moments.
Peace within us can only come once we finally accept ourselves for whom we are rather than accepting ourselves for who we're not! To be at peace with ourselves; alters our level of happiness, and that happiness comes from within.
