Upon this day of joy and cheer,
We honor one both wise and dear.
Eighty-six years, a path well-trod,
Through toil and triumph, blessed by God.
A builder strong, of work and name,
With steadfast heart and noble aim.
Through trials vast, you stood upright,
A beacon bold, a guiding light.
Your hands have shaped, your mind has led,
Where others faltered, you have tread.
The years have passed, yet still you stand,
A pillar firm, a steady hand.
So take this day with mirth and glee,
A moment bright in history.
May peace and health be ever thine,
And days ahead with gladness shine.
With honor true, we voice once more,
Happy birthday, Mr. DeVoe L. Moore!
