Hard Poem by keith brown

Hard

It’s so hard just to feel
To know what’s fantasy
to know what’s real
So hard just to see
How much of this is you
how much is me

It’s so hard not to cry
To listen to your silent alibi
To look into your eyes and know the truth
How much of this is me
how much is you.

For I’ve loved you in the evening
and
the misty morning light
Held you in my arms on dark and stormy nights
Now you want to walk away
your longing to free
And the question I keep asking is
How much of this is you
how much is me.

It’s so hard just to know
To stand outside myself and watch you go
To let go of your hand and set you free
To listen to the rhyme of destiny.
cause
Now you want to walk away
your longing to be free
And the question I keep asking is
How much of this is you
how much is me
