Has It Ever Occurred To You Poem by Gary James Smith

Has It Ever Occurred To You

Has It Ever Occured To You

Has it ever occurred to you
What if there is a God?
Sure you've cried out oftimes to Him
But then left Him in the hood
Off you wander aimlessly
Still attempting to do your thing
Using God as a fire escape
When you're troubled by something

But to have God as a constant
Is the greatest blessing known
To know Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour
Is an entity of renoun
Strive to know your Creator
While it is He who gives you breath
Remember down here we don't live forever
We've a five letter word called death

But there's a four letter word called life
Much better an eternal one at that
If you put your faith in the Son of God
You'll know the meaning of that
I love to tell that story
Of the One who rose from the grave
And end it most emphatically and explicit
Jesus saves! ...Jesus saves!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
