Hatched Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Hatched

Hatched

For long I, kept inside
-the hard shell
-among walls
-with doors locked
-and key lost…

Must get out
-need effort
-also guts…

Let it come what maybe
Let thunder and clouds
Let shower and storms
With quakes and lavas

Come and hit
-burn, fossil!

Let the cat and crow
Let the kings and sultans
Let leader of White House
Let agents of Russia and Iran…
-and others make their lines
-to come and catch or send
-dogs, to bark…and to fetch…

Must get out
-with effort
-and my guts…

I want to hatch the egg
-live among the brood,
-siblings and mother…

No more I close mouth!
No more keep eyes blind!

Come and kill if you dare
I must show that I care
Yes, I will, have spared
Lots of love in my chest.
