I say i forgot you
yet you know as well as i do
that i still hold on to you tightly
like a maiden to her good manners
you are the thought that soothes
me to slumber
You are the scale by which i gauge
my next
you are the reason they leave
i live for you they say
that i am a fool
that my heart is too full-for another
that i call you in my sleep
that i should remove you on my speed dial
i should let you go
and forget you
yet i don't
i let them go
as they ask for much of me
