Have Common Sense Poem by Francis Duggan

Have Common Sense

In this World of great frustration
Brought about by aggravation
People have an inclination
To find comfort in desperation.

In my head I've got a pain
From listening to others complain
With each passing day man's worries double
If it's not money it's woman trouble.

The working man loses employment
And short of money for enjoyment
He foolishly resorts to plunder
And goes to jail for his great blunder.

The married couple went out dancing
At another man the wife was glancing
The jealous husband became offended
And in a brawl their night out ended.

Always think before you leap
Do not get yourself in deep
Trouble with the dreaded law
Who will have the last guffaw.

It doesn't pay to act the fool
Keep that little brain box cool
Have a bit of common sense
And you won't have to face the consequence.
