Have you ever seen a grown man cry?
Have you ever sat there and wondered why?
His tears stream down his face, from eyes that yesterday looked so stern.
Did you think him capable of that depth of feeling of that emotion?
He’s usually so hard and seems so strong, his feelings seemingly so repressed.
Yet when he cries its like the flood gates open.
What was it that brought him to this moment of despair?
What made him feel like this?
As a child he would often cry when he grazed his knee when he was lonely, when he hurt
But society has taught him to bottle up his feelings
Like genie in a bottle the sadness sometimes gets let out
and people are left in no doubt as to what he now feels.
