Hazy Days Poem by Ketan Hukare

Hazy Days

I've been thinking a lot lately
About things and days so hazy.
Can't help getting more crazy;
I've started to howl
In the middle of night,
I've written letters to
Dark souls of light.

Cold makes this even more rough
Striking it all is never enough
I'm proving them wrong
By making myself stronger
To be with the poison
That's keeping me warm.

And for so long I've been away
Far from this land of lust and fray
I want it all my way.
So I'm fighting for roses,
I'm fighting for smiles.
Though it is so far from home
Like living in exile.

Cold heart combined with bravery
Won't loosen us from this slavery,
In the end it's all fakery.
It's a battle of bulls
Ramming their horns in dark.
It's the voice of who rules
And the people sit and hark.

I've been thinking a lot lately
About things and days so hazy
Makes me feel like crazy
Though I know I'm not
Its just the outcome of
Battles I've fought.
