He Died For Me Poem by Gary James Smith

He Died For Me

Rating: 5.0

HE DIED FOR ME

He died for me that I might live
And lives for me that I might die
There was nothing that I could give
He gave His all and rose on High.

This new song He's given me
Comes from a soul that's fully blest
Sings this heart of mine so free
Sings this soul a song of rest.

I am resting, trusting Jesus
Day by day, I have His power
Moment by moment enjoying His presence
Till we meet, in that final hour.

When face to face I shall behold Him
He who came and died for me
When all heaven breaks loose in Hallelujah's
What a day will be that Jubilee!

Just thinking about it, I shout Glory
Glory, Glory be unto that Lamb
Clothed in robes of Christ own Righteousness
In the very presence of the Great I Am!

Swift I bow with tongue confessing
Jesus You are Lord and Saviour
I believed, because of Your Word
In that, I'm found, in the Fathers' Favor.
