A young man was called as ‘Control’
prefixing his name Kanniappan;
One may wonder why ‘Control’
and how it came attached to him;
Some people say whether he
controls everybody with his order;
Is he a disciplinarian that he brings
everybody under his ‘control’;
No, he is a disciplined man, well
brought him up with good manners;
His father taught him how to be
generous and charitable to the poor;
While there was a procurement of paddy
for supplying the ration rice during calamity;
He offered his produce of paddy for the
control price of Rs 10/bag not only to the govt;
but also to all poor people and low grade
government servants for the same ‘Control’
price while others were hiding and selling
paddy for exuberant price of Rs 25/bag!
Do you know who it is, called
‘Control Kanniappa Mudaliar’
I am proud to say that
he is my beloved father!
