He Loved His Ole Boat Poem by Loyd C Taylor Sr

He Loved His Ole Boat

He loved his wife and family,
and would want them to know.
He had a sense of humor,
his smile told us so.

He simply loved living,
what more could one say?
He loved the friendships
he made along the way.

He loved old movies -
Roy Rogers and John Wayne too.
He loved cowboy music -
Tumbleweeds and Happy Trails to You.

He loved going to church
and to his faith, he was true.
He cherished the Holy Bible,
and oft would quote it to you.

He loved his old cat,
skittish and untamed,
He smiled as he told folk,
"Fraidy" he was named.

And one more thing
About Aaron I should say;

He loved his ole flat-bottom riverboat.
