He Loves Me Not - Poem by Rhiannon BeckerJones

It’s not fair that when he looks into my eyes he see’s clearer skies,
When I look into his eyes, all I see are broken promises and lies,
Does he think I can’t read through his foolish complexion,
Am I just another one of his playful interventions,
Does he see me as alive, or have his lies just run dry,
He still see’s his angel in my eyes,
But to me he’s just another devil telling lies.
