He Released Us From Sin's Penalty Poem by Gary James Smith

He Released Us From Sin's Penalty

He Released Us From Sin's Penalty

He released us from sin's penalty
He took the pain that we might gain
He surrendered Himself to the will of God
Hallelujah praise His dear name
What a rejoicing have us saints
We're only saved sinner's by grace
Our Essental Oil the Holy Spirit
Keeping us until we shall see His blessed face

What a freedom and what a liberty
From the shackles of sin we're released
No more bondage under the destroyer
But living with joy and with peace
One Saviour! ...praise God hallelujah!
No confusion whatever in that name
The only one given under Heaven upon earth
That can change men forever...amen!

Seek Him until you can find Him
He's the world's greatest treasure my friend
You'll know absolute assurance of your soul's destination
To that I can give a hearty amen!
Taste and see that the Lord is good
Come whet your appetite
For when you hunger and thirst after God's righteousness
Your soul will be close to the Light

May He become your own hallelujah
Your reason for praising each day
The One who arose from the bondage of death
And took its full penalty away
The fear of death gone now forever
I shall live forever hallelujah praise God
For when they bury this saved sinner's body
My feet shall walk on Heaven's sod!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
