He's High Above Poem by Joyce Hemsley

He's High Above

Rating: 4.0

A pretty little love bird
was mine, to have and hold,
I named him 'fluffy toy'
more precious to me than gold.

Did you ever see my song bird?
my azure blue and white bird
he was a heavenly joy.
I fed that lonely little bird
that dainty and demure bird
my little friend so coy...
One winter's day I lost my bird
he flew away, his call unheard,
and how I miss my pretty boy.

Even now, I sense his song
haunting my memory all day long
I call his name - 'fluffy toy'...but he's
up above where angels throng.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, view, concept and heart. You have expressed well here the love found in one of God's creatures, and the joy that entered into your life because of it. And then the sadness flows as he is no longer heard of seen, gone forever but not forgotten. Thanks for the musing this caused and many blessings to you
