He Stood Like A Colossus Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

He Stood Like A Colossus

The Almighty; the Omnipotent
The All-seeing; the Omniscient
The warrior and the savior
The protector with the incomparable ardor
He took charge
And repelled the enemies’ onward charge
He doused my greatest fears
And mopped off the steaming tears
Since then, He stood guard
Against any attack, He remains my armor guard
He dispelled the rumors
And gave me all the clamors
His flight is swift than that of a Pegasus
He stood, for me, and still stands, like a Colossus
