What is Zikr?

Reciting Allah's name to Clean qalb!
Zikr, Zekr, and variants;
(Arabic: ذِکْر ḏikr; plural Arabic: أذكار aḏkār, meaning "remembrance")is the name of devotional acts in Islam in which short phrases or prayers are repeatedly recited silently within the heart or aloud
Dhikr is the means by which Stations yield their fruit, until the seeker reaches the Divine Presence
On the journey to the Divine Presence the seed of remembrance is planted in the heart and nourished with the water of praise and the food of glorification, until the tree of dhikr becomes deeply rooted and bears its fruit
It is the power of all journeying and the foundation of all success
It is the reviver from the sleep of heedlessness
The bridge to the One remembered
Aim of Zikr is to make Love relation with Allah subhaanu waa Taála
We have two wings to fly to the Almi-Arwah/spiritual realm
One is Aqaid n the other is Amal/ deeds
we have to stronger our aqaid for good amals
We can revolve to the upper sky by the strong two wings:
Our Pot of knowledge will be increased then only!
"Do zikr till you are alive, as only zikr can bring cleanliness to your QaLb"
"One who makes zikr and other who doesn't do; may be compared to living and dead"
"When a group sit to make zikr; the angels of Allah's Rahmat surround them;
Allah's rahmat Cover them too;
Allah's peace is doused to them;
And Allah swt begins to praise about them to His nears like angels or Ambiaah Awh! "
"The solitary dwellers have gone before; who are the Solitary dwellers yaa Rasool Allah? They are people who did much Zikr"
Why it's Necessary?
You must clean your Baatin/hidden things to achieve Real taste of Religion!

(Remembrance of Allah)
To understand the importance of the remembrance of Allah(subhanu waa ta'ala)
we will list seven advantages of engaging in zikr
against seven dis-advantages of not performing zikr
and our conclusion will be based upon the Quranic comparison of the two

ADVANTAGES: -
1. 'Remember Allah abundantly, in order that you become successful'
Quran (Surah 8: Verse 45)
2. 'Only in the remembrance of Allah (swt)will your heart find peace'
Quran (Surah 13: Verse 28)
3. 'Those men and women who engage much in Allah's praise. for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a Great Reward'
Quran (Surah 33: Verse 35)
4. 'When any group of men remember Allah, angels surround them and mercy covers them, tranquility descends upon them, and Allah mentions them to those who are with Him.' (Muslim)
5. 'They are the most wise who remember Allah, standing sitting and lying down'
Quran (Surah 4: Verse 190)
6. 'Their skins and their hearts soften to the remembrance of Allah'
Quran (Surah 39: Verse 23)
7. 'The rememebrence of Allah (swt)is the greatest (deed)'
Quran (Surah 29: Verse 45) .

DISADVANTAGES: -
1. 'Believers, do not let either your possessions or your children divert you from the Remembrance of Allah. Those who do that shall be the losers'.
Quran (Surah 63: Verse 9)
2. 'Whosoever turns away from My remembrance, his life will be made tight and narrow on the Day of Resurrection We shall raise him blind'
Quran (Surah 20: Verse 124)
3. 'Whosoever turns away from the Remembrance of Allah, He will hurl him into a stern punishment'.
Quran (Surah 72: Verse 17)
4. 'Satan has mastered them and caused them to forget the Remembrance of Allah. Those are satan's party; and satan's party shall assuredly be the losers'
Quran (Surah 58: Verse 19)
5. 'Woe to those whose hearts have hardened against the Remembrance of Allah! Those are in clear error'.
Quran (Surah 39: Verse 22)
6. 'Whosoever blinds himself from the Remembrance of the Merciful, We shall assign for him a evil satan who will be his (ever misleading)companion'
Quran (Surah 43: Verse 36)
7. 'Those who are admitted into paradise will not remorse over anything of this world, except over the times in which the zikr of Allah was not utilised' (Bukhari)

IN CONCLUSION: -
Those who perform Zikr are Wise and are promised Success, Peace, Happiness, Mercy, Forgiveness and Great Rewards in this life and the next. All of which are valued as being positive important factors in one's religious and worldly life.
Whilst those who do not engage in Zikr are classed as being heard hearted losers who are clearly in the error and in the group of Shaitan... and as such, they will be made to live a tight and narrow life, full of misery and woe, punished in this life as well as being risen blind in the next and who will be remorseful of all the time not spent in the Remembrance of Allah (swt) .
So excatly how important is zikr? Basically put, for a Muslim, zikr is a matter of life and death: .
I will end with this beautiful Hadith of prophet Muhammad (SAW) .,
'The likeness of the one who Remembers his Lord and the one who does not Remember Him is like that between the living and the dead'
(Bukhari) .
