He Will Not Hate You Poem by Carl Roussell

He Will Not Hate You

Rating: 5.0

Sensing something new he had never thought
To turn to face it, yet he did
Determined to beat it changed course and fought

The heat they threw did reach him, the flames caught
They burned a hole in his soul, he hid
Sensing something new he had never thought

The emotion so strong it felled him, caught
In their all-consuming hate, heart distorted
Determined to beat it changed course and fought

Ready to throw away what he believed, distraught
He answered them in kind, he was blinded
Sensing something new he had never thought

He wouldn't stay there, couldn't stay there, sought
To take back what they took, and he did
Determined to beat it changed course and fought

He will not hate you, all you did for naught
Didn't become you no matter what you did
Sensing something new he had never thought
Determined to beat it changed course and fought
