Healing Words© Poem by Roann Mendriq

Healing Words©

How very good yet slightly strange,
that a mind bearing a burden,
When thirsting for reprieve and change,
lets God's will get a word in.

Then, while the storm wrecks and rages,
when perfect peace is hard to find;
When trapped thoughts wince in deep, dark cages,
Words start dancing in that mind.

Tumbling, they spring forth with feeling,
sprinkled with wry wit that gleams
with laughter and true inner healing,
blessed with heaven's light, it seems.

Who weaves these words and lets them grow?
Who fills them with musical flow?
Who shines them till they gleam and glow?
Who turns their meaning, sweet and slow?

He who writes our real life stories,
He whose will chooses the plot;
He whose endings blaze in glories,
He whose word is ever sought.

With hope tucked deep in every line,
Thank Heaven's for the Word Divine!
