Heart of a true Poet

A poet is a mystic
though he lives
In the prison of bone and marrow,
He brings new light,
new morrow comes
With the presence of
a mystic poet,
A poet is an everest,
Snow-clad everest,
Light falls and becomes
Rainbow,
A poet is a rainbow,
In a poet light bifurcates,
Songs of humanity rings,
In Him light and darkness
Move with similar glow.

A poet is no less than
a Christ,
He bleeds and bleeds
profusely,
A poet is always
in crucifixion,
A poet is always ready
to drink Hemlock,
A poet is no less
than a Socrates,
A poet is always ready
to be vaporized,
Poor and neglected
by common people,
A poet is no less
than a Kabir,
A poet is a perfect God
who sings through heart,
A poet is no less
than a Rabindranath,
Who sings with
meditative trance,
A poet is no less than
a son of God,
A poet is often found
sitting under the Bodhi Tree,
A poet is often found
eating among the poor
Of the poorest,
A poet is often found
Standing or sitting
Without food,
A poet is the lowest
Often deepest and the highest,
A poet is a soft sensitive heart,
Song flows through his core.
