Heart's A Lonely Hunter Poem by Paul Sebastian

Heart's A Lonely Hunter

Tears gushed out from a broken dam
Flowing along years of buried pain
Repressed memories hidden for shame
Love expressions bound in chains

Growing up as a child into adulthood
Carefree lifestyle in dense loneliness
Yet in midst turmoil struggled to be good
As anyone would you sought life's happiness

Dream relationship cracked wanting love
Trusting love-relationship is a suspect
Curtain raise for loneliness, love shoved
Befriending yourself in my lonely closet

Searching, groping for some love touch
Empty days before you uninviting
Fleeting days pass, achieving noting much
Predictable days ahead seem alarming

Past failure thoughts, fear sweat
Paralyse future plans and actions
Fight you must never let in defeat
Doggedly pursue dream and mission

You are an eagle, meant to fly
Spread your wings against the winds
Press your abilities to soar high
Visualize, focus what lies ahead

Go! Make your dream come true
Do! If not you, who would do for you?
Let past shackles lie, build life anew
Go! Do it now! If not now when will you?
