Heart's History Poem by JoAnn McGrath

Heart's History

Rating: 5.0

Heart's History

There I rest
A posing posture sit
Empty glass of wine at best
Candle burnt down to the wick

Worn upon my sleeve
Measures of emotions
Loud clamour cleave
Deep as the ocean

Read these lines and scatter rhymes
upon the grounds of summer nights
Bleeding heart that intertwines
Tis history I recite
