Heart's Hope - Poem by Christine Davidson

Hope in my heart
Where did it start
Holding your love

Love in my heart
How did we part
Losing your trust

Taken away
Love didn’t stay
Pain of regret

Searching my heart
Hoping to start
Healing the pain

Many a night
Pain at its height
Wanting you back

Reality strikes
Jealousy bites
Sour and sharp

Bloody my heart
Savaged apart
Wounded and torn

Pushed to the side
Vowes to abide
Silence like death
