Hearts Living In A Prison Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Hearts Living In A Prison

Music causing people to sway side to side, smiles on their faces, hearts beating silently, living in a prison, ribs never letting them escape.

Wanting to, but not able to as music flows enticing rhythms of a heartbeat into another context, but tears filling its chambers within, no swimming able to happen.
