Heed Not Feelings, For They Cause Your Pain - Poem by Alice Perfect

when I experience a situation
what if I just experience it
amd not judge it good nor bad
just live it, fully

how I felt about something
would cause me pain or pleasure
but the one always needs the other
they need each other
as background

no high needed
no low desired
just fly the bliss
plane above water

how do I feel about dinner tonight?
warm

how do I feel about the politicians?
still warm inside

how do I feel about the religious
fanatics who hate the others(sinners)
I still feel warm

how do I feel about my
teen's part in a pregnancy?
still warm, unaltered

how do I feel about
my lovely loving love nugget?
I am warm, that is all I feel

act from a place of calm
with no fear,
concern for all parties,
be giving, let them be
as they are

there is no greater love
than selflessness
that is not a feeling
it is being with the other,
wholeness, complete,
seeing their perfection,
ultimate validation,
love

One must both listen to, and learn to control that voice in the head (Report) Reply
