Hell To Pay Poem by Francie Lynch

Hell To Pay

When my time finally arrives,
Finality will hold no surprise;
But please remember
To close my eyes,
Shut my mouth,
End my lies.
Lace polished shoes
On my feet,
Cross my hands
Upon my chest,
Comb my hair,
Let me rest.
And tell the truth
When you speak.
If I hear any hyperbole,
There's hell to pay,
I assure you.
