Helpless People Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Helpless People

Rating: 5.0

We will rise
With surprise
From the grave
To offer or give

We can not be suppressed
Or for longer can be suppressed
We shall emerge as successful
Even though we feel shameful

Streets have become bloodier
Nobody is feeling happier
People still fail to realize
Whole continent is wrongly seized

Peace process is threatened
Even though the doors are opened
It may show us golden sun
Freedom may ultimately be won

Population is caught between cross fire
People throw abuses and satire
We are where we were years ago
It has still long way to go

We are neither in captivity
Not in condition with hospitality
It is situation that can be called “in turmoil”
Outside forces may try to fail

International opinion is in favor
Yet local people prefer dishonor
Fight among for exerting influence
Thus loose the golden opportunity and chance
